Frequently Asked Questions
How large are your classes? Our class size range from 17 students in K4 to 24 students per class grades 3 and up. What credentials do your teachers have? Our teachers must be certified by the NC Association of Christian Schools. The minimum requirement would be to possess a bachelor degree for grades two and up. Grade one and Kindergarten requires a bachelor degree or several years experience and a teaching certificate from NCCSA. Is your school accredited? Our graduates are accepted into the college of their choice. BCA is presently working on NCCSA and AACS accreditation. We have qualified teachers and fully expect the accreditation to be reached. My child is applying for kindergarten. Does he need a teacher recommendation? No, a teacher recommendation is only needed if a child has previously been in a school setting. How do I apply to register my child? Contact the school office and request an application packet to be sent to you and set up an appointment with our elementary supervisor. We are not moving here until the summer; how can I complete my interview? After successfully completing the application process up to the point of the interview (and possibly entrance testing), we will hold the student’s place in a grade until you have moved and are able to complete the interview. What curriculum do you use? Grade six and below, we use A-Beka Book. In the upper grades, we use A-Beka, Saxon Math, some Bob Jones Press, and various sources for computer and business. Do you have Before and After School Care?
Yes, for elementary school we offer care. Select Before & After School Care on the menu. |
