Eight Days of Hope
Eight Days of Hope was recently in Louisiana and North Carolina. Eight Days of Hope assisted by going into the devastated areas to help rebuild homes in LaPlace, Louisiana as a result of Hurricane Isaac. Over 240 homes and $4 million dollars worth of work was completed. In May and June of 2012, Eight Days of Hope was in Pamlico County helping a rural community rebuild from Hurricane Irene which struck in August of 2011. Over 1600 volunteers from 42 states descended on Pamlico County. Several from Bethel joined in rebuilding homes in Bayboro, Oriental, and Vandemere.
